Monday Monochrome #GirlBoss

Good Morning Lovely Ladies! Hope you all are doing fine and are all ready to kick start our week with all good vibes. Monday is the day everybody curses after having a kickass weekend. But what if a perfect outfit makes your day and you feel all energetic at your work place? That's the magic of a great outfit. We all have heard of monday blues but this time let's get it into the monochrome palatte. So without any futhur dues let's get started.

I planned to pair up my monochrome stripped jumpsuit with a sheer bomber jacket. So let me tell you a small funny story with bomber I got! This jacket is from Allen solly which just caught my attention in the first go and was kept in the mens section plus it was for 4k plus it was a size bigger than my actual one that equals to a big NO from my mom, haha! But I don't know how god felt bad for me and suddenly the person says mam it is on discount as its a last piece and actually got it for 2k. Giving some styling ideas to mom I somehow convienced her and she finally agreed! So much of hardwork :p
Okay so coming to the styling I kept the monochrome palatte in mind and worked out the whole outfit. Adding up a pair of black heels and a white bag with the attire I went for a pop of colour for which applied a rose red shade lipcolour also kept my eyes related to black and white concept with adding a white line of eyeliner over my black one, sleek and classy!

Dance Away The Mid-night Blues!

Hello Ladies! And welcome back to my blog. I am pretty sure you guys are doing well and are having a great sunday. Today I am uploading the last post of the Rajkumari Spring and Summer Collection series and hope you guys have gone through my previous posts! Brides come with a variety of requirements, some would want want their wedding outfits to be royal or some would want it to be subtle. So, Designer Richa Haware takes personal attention in designing the outfit be it depending on the bride's fittings, choice of embroidery, fabrics, colour prefernces and price range.

Today's post is all about the Sangeet look! You all must be wondering this outfit looks just like another wedding outfit and what's so special in that? Okay so let me tell you what brides actually make a mistake while selecting their sangeet attire. Wanna know more? Keep reading...

Photography: Krishna Pillai

I am now going to mention some tips and tricks you can go for while getting your sangeet look ready!
1.
Keep your hair tucked up! It's very obvious that you will be dancing a lot on your sangeet day with all that grooving and moving. You don't want your hair to get messy or distrub you while you are enjoying the event. It's better that you tie up your hair into a bun or any kind of hairstyle that will let you feel free while dancing. You can make your hair-do look pretty by adding up some hair accessories. Here for my look we added a necklace on the borders of my high tucked bun and secured it with pins.

2.
How would you feel that while dancing on your favourite number all your jewellery is messing up and not making you feel comfortable or your huge sets of bangles getting stuck in your dress?  Angry right? Then go for minimal accessories like small jhumkas (so that they don't fall while dancing and make sure they are not heavy) or just a set of statement bangles (kadas). Also avoid mang tikkas as they might fall off too.

3.
The perfect blouse! It's a must. Sometimes brides tend to go for a very fancy blouse and end up feeling messy on their sangeet. Let's stick to the basic such as a high neck blouse which will cover up the need to wear jewellery and feel secured. Also if you want you can the ditch the duppatta!

4.
Now coming to the lehenga keep it light and breezy. If you guys can make out from the pictures how light my lehenga is and how easily it twirls. Make sure that your lehenga is not extremely heavy. Heavier the lehenga, greater the responsibilty. A light lehenga will be comfortable and will not be a barrier between you and your enjoyment.

The Ivory Story

Hi girls! Here is another post for you guys. Hope you all are loving the posts I have been uploading since a week. Moving on to another section of the Rajkumari Week I am going to show you how I converted a 6 Yard Saree into a Saree lehenga outfit suitable for a Mehendi function. With immense love and dedication for pastels and mints Richa has managed to set an example how a plain pastel can be your dream outfit! So without any futher due let's get started!

Photography: Krishna Pillai

So what I have actually done is paired up an Ivory Saree from Rajkumari's Spring-Summer collection with their plain flared lehenga from the pastel collection. Timeless and chic, Ivory is a colour you can never go wrong with. Firstly, you need to find the right contrast blouse and Lehenga that will go well with the saree. I went with a slightly metallic golden blouse with studded sleevs which perfectly compliment my outfit.

With that I concentrated more on my drape than actually just wearing a normal saree. Starting from my left hand side waist I drapped the saree pleats by pleats creating a lehenga kind of structure on my mint skirt. After reaching my right hand side waist I drapped the pallu of my saree like a pinned up dupatta keeping the borders of my saree at attention. Then spread the saree a bit on the back side of your outfit to let it cover the skirt fully. This is how I achieved another kind of Saree-Lehenga look.

For my hair the stylist went for hair pipe curls tucking it behind and giving slight waves at the bottom. For my makeup we did a golden black smoke eye with deep maroon lipshade with adding up some mint green earrings and necklace to my look.

Royalty Redefined!

Hello Lovely Ladies! I am back with yet another post featuring the ravinishing collection from Rajkumari, Designed by Richa Haware. Blue has always been my go to colour and I am in an extremely dedicated and serious relationship with it! I believe blue can never go wrong in any aspect be it traditional, formal, casual or bohemian. Royalty is defined by it's elegance and that what even Rajkumari is about! Pure authentic embroidery and tint of golden shimmer shine make a perfect combination for a Wedding reception evening.

This voluminous gown is handcrafted in silk gazar, duchess satin, silk crepes and jacquards. Intrictae handwork and embellishments adorn the collection, paying homage to the extraordinary details.
Spell magic in a navy blue gown with rich work.
For my makeup, We went for this heavily done smokey eye adding up some false lashes to give it depth and make it look loud. With the lip we went for a casual red that would compliment my attire even more. Also for my hairdo we did the beach curls in some sections to give my hair a little bit of volume because of the short length. Keeping the accessorizing part very minimal I chose to go for my circular shaped earrings that would complete the entire look and not make it over the top!

The Classic and Contemporary Bride!

Hello Ladies! Hope you all are doing fine and have gone through my previous posts to have an idea what this post is all about. If no then what you waiting for go check them out! As you all know I have mentioned in my previous post how a bride can ditch the basic red for her big day and go for some vibrant colours. I picked up this bright orange and pink Bridal lehenga from the Rajkumari spring and summer collection 2017-18. The Rajkumari clients enjoy personalized attention from trained fashion consultants who help select and style each outfit.

Through her cretivity and passion, Richa Haware has redefined the amalgation of the classic and the contemporary in 'My Royal Wedding' Rajkumari's Wedding Trousseau line. It draws inspiration from the magnificent opulence of Indo-western architecture from the time of Mughal Era.

The striking merger of geometric patterns with floral motifs and organic hues, textured fabrics like handloom raw silk, velvet and lustrous tulle make a collection of crisp silhouettes. Intricate zardozi, sequins and aariwork embroidery techniques have been widely used along with mellow resham and semi-precious metals. The colour palette is rich and subtle for the season ranging from Venetian red, maroon, navy blue, Castleton green to a gentle Tea Rose and beige. The rich banarasis, the woven fabrics, the opulent gottapatti work, the persian motifs, the enchanting florals bind the collection with timelessness and magnificence. The spring summer 2017-18 couture collection is indeed a royal affair, inspiring and splendid with the perfect synthesis of luxury, art and architecture.

7 Mistakes Brides Make in their wedding outfits!

Wedding date fixed? Jumpstart your wedding preps keeping these things in mind!
7 Mistake Brides Make while selecting their wedding trousseaus!

Have you ever attended a wedding and noticed that the bride looks messed up and not happy with the attired she is wearing? Or ever had an experience in your own wedding and want to warn your friend who is a bride-to-be! This is your chance to make her big day the best day of her life.

#1
Always Going For A Red

Who says a bride looks good only in a red lehenga? In fact you should keep your personality in mind while fetting your wedding outfit created. A bride can look as stunning as a princess in pastels, whites, yellows, greens, blues and pinks. So cut off the cliche red and jump on to a bright new look.

#2
Paying more getting less!

Have you ever thought that the outfit you are going for is too costly and not worth the price but you still buy it because it is a designer piece or a well known designer's best selling piece? No, a very big no! Do not go for it! It is about your wedding and the way you want your outfit to be on point. Doesn't even matter if it is a best selling piece but if you are not satisfied do not settle for less.

#3
Compromising on perfect fittings

Have you ever felt that your outfit fittings aren't proper? But you have already told the designer to redo the fittings innumerable times in different sections of the outfit but still can't feel comfy? Do not compromise on your fittings and ask the designer to redo it one more time or even more than that until and unless you feel it is right! Because your outfit has to be ON POINT and AS COMFORTABLE AS POSSIBLE cause' you're the bride <3

#4
Over Accessorizing

Oh my my, sometimes I feel like actually going and telling the bride to remove all the extra pieces she has worn on her wedding day! Would you like to look like a jewellery store on your big day? No, right! So keep the jewellery pieces accurate and go for those that compliment your outfit well. If you are wearing long layers of necklaces then do not go for a lot of hand accessories or bangles. On the other hand if you are going for a large mang tikka or head accesories go for minimal necklaces and wear some hand accessories to balance your look.

#5
Ignoring the Drape

I have seen this actually happening in a lot of weddings I have attended. The complete mess the bride becomes while adjusting her dupatta, pallu or the chunni while her 'saath phere' and performing the rituals. Make sure that all your duppatta, pallu or chunni drapes are done properly and secured with a lot of safty pins.

#6
Not Wearing the perfect Footwear!

One of the biggest blunder mistakes the brides tend to make, is choosing stilettos over wedges or platform heels. Wedges give your feet balance and help you stand for a longer period of time without hurting your legs. I am pretty sure everyone feels uncomfortable in those high heeled stilettos after standing for hours and hours at the wedding. The bride must keep this in the mind that her big day is not going to easy so she should take care of herself by making the right choice! So a big yay to WEDGES!

#7
A Too Loud Make-up Look

The make-up is another factor every bride should pay attention to. A very loud make-up will make you look over the top! Always keep two things in mind while getting your make-up done: If your outfit is heavy or filled with work keep your make-up low key and subtle and on the other hand if your outfit is subtle or simply pastels go for a heavy bridal make-up with accurate accessories! This will balance you complete bridal look and keep you in a comfort zone too.

So these are a few things a bride should probably keep in mind while preping up for her big day becasue no one wants to regret later. Ending my post here, see you soon tommorow with some fab bridal looks from RAJKUMARI by Richa Haware! Stay tuned and do not miss on anything.
