The Little Blue Dress

The Little Blue Dress

Hello All! Hope you all are safe & healthy. The surprise showers has turned the weather chilly & super pleasant. Feels as if mother nature is try to heal all of us from the 2020 sadness & tough times. So, sitting by the window I thought of writing a new blog post talking about a wardrobe essential for all of us, a LBD and this time it is not a black dress but 'A Little Blue Dress'.

As we all know that the entire lockdown we all waited to dress up and show up to work. We kind of  missed posting our daily #ootds on our Instagram. Never the less this Covid situation made me shop a lot online. Tracking down a few looks for my daily office wear I came across this really pretty blue dress that I feel fights perfectly for various occasions, be it work, a casual brunch date or a dinner with friends. Blue is a colour that goes well with each surrounding, but picking up the right shade of blue is very important in which royal blue & navy blue being the best choices. Also, tiny prints & a basic minimal silhouette makes it a great pair.

Dresses like these can go from morning to night with a few changes in the accessorizing front. For example, You can style this dress with a contrast solid colour footwear. I chose to style it with my trusted pair of red block heels (apt for an office look or a party look) and my black work glasses, that go well while dressing formally. For a brunch date, Add a nice sling bag and throw on a trendy pair of sunglasses and you are good to go. Going dancing on a Saturday night? Style this dress with a tan belt, platform heels and large golden hoop earrings.

Hello Readers! It feels super amazing to get back to writing and creating looks. I hope you all are safe and healthy. This year has been pretty difficult for all of us, not only financially but emotionally too. But seeing to the positive side of this pandemic I feel we all just needed this big break to reset and unwind ourselves from the hectic race of life. I am glad to have shared some real quality time with my family, staying indoor cooking and watching tons of Netflix. Also, experienced Covid-19 myself so I can proudly call myself a Corona warrior. But now it's time to get back to working and a new normal with the not so loved masks! :p So, let's jump into the post and see what I have for you this time.

A lot of people feel that formal wear is too boring but I feel it's all about the experimenting that makes it fun. Playing with colours, textures and styles can amp up your look completely. The power of dressing is basically a reflection of your own self at the highest point. Blazers are famous for giving a particular outfit an edge and can be worn in all seasons keeping the colour palette in mind, they are also a major wardrobe staple. One should have at least 4-5 different varieties of blazers in their formal wardrobe setup if they deal with an industry like mine or even a corporate one.

Coming to the look I created, I wanted to do an unusual blazer keeping the look more playful so I opted for a printed white tee and my trusted pair of blue bell bottom jeans. The classic combination of a blazer over a jeans makes it a perfect attire that fits in for an informal event, a semi-corporate party or a meeting too. While picking this blazer what caught my eye was the wonderfully done gradation in blue hues with squares that make the blazer look formal yet stylish. For my footwear I wore my favorite closed pointed heels which give a sense of authority, heels and bell bottoms always go hand in hand as it elongates the look. Go for a silver watch with a statement dial to accessorize.

Till then as I always say stay happy, stay stylish!
