Playing it the Vinatge Way!

The Vintage Green

Hello All! Welcome back to my Blog. Vintage dressing is all about choosing the right accessories, picking up the right prints and colours with the perfect style that suits your body type. Let's see how I have created a casual yet stylish look apt for a brunch date with your friends for the weekend.

Details:
Dress - Ginger
Sunglasses - Globus
Hoops - H&M
Belt - Westside
Heels - H&M
Handbag - Shopperstop

I am a big fan of polka dots and wanted to en-corporate it in at least one of my daily outfits, as I have observed large dots don't do quite well on my body type & I like how the small tiny polka dots play well for me as they make me look leaner.

I opted for an emerald green wrap around dress with a collared  deep 'V' neck. These kind of necks make the upper body look more elongated and the collar gives a classic touch to the outfit. I also added a tan belt on my waist tummy so that it defines my body shape. A small tip, Always invest in quality basics as you can play with it on simple outfits and make your look more dressy.

To complete my look I went for my trusted pair of basic platform heels with wide frame vintage sunglasses, golden hoops and a structured handbag.

Pastels are taking over the wedding wardrobes and what's more better than experimenting with them? I have paired a beautiful mint green lehenga with an intricate golden floral jaal work blouse having layered sleeves from Yogita Kadam's recent collection 'TRIVAAH'.

Whites and greens work really well together and give a very pleasing look. Best for a summer beach side wedding or a outdoor sundowner sangeet ceremony, this outfit is a soothing sight to see. Not accessorising it much I just added on a pair of white roses to my soft curls and we are good to go.

Thanks you so much for visitng in and reading my blog. Hope you all liked it. Will be back with another post soon!

The Festive Edit (Part 2)

The Festive Edit with Label Yogita Kadam

Hello All! Hope you all are doing good. I am back with the second part of the series with designer Yogita Kadam. Festive season demands for us to be dressy for various occasions and while you are shopping for your outfits be mindful of where you are investing your money into whether it's the jewellery or the clothes. Try buying outfits like Anarkalis, long flowy dresses in bold or subtle colours that can be easily paired with any kind of heavy dupattas or jackets which will last long through many seasons and can be repeated with variations.

Here, I have opted for a beautiful heavy embroidered Anarkali which is one of Yogita's most subtle designs from her collection. Adding to it I went with a contrast coral dupatta to give the white ensemble a pop of colour. Floral embroidery plays a vital role during the festive season becasue no one can go wrong with it plus it's the most safest option for all who aren't much into experimenting. An ideal pair of diamond danglers, curled hair and a bright lip colour is all that you need to pair along with this flowy outfit. And here you are good to go for those Diwali parties or house warming ceremonies.

Outfit: Label Yogita Kadam
Earrings: Local Store
Lip Shade: Sugar Cosmetics (drop dead red)

The Bridesmaid Edit (Part 1)

The Bridesmaid Edit with Label Yogita Kadam

Hello all! I am back with yet another post and this time I will be targeting on some special occasion wear for the upcoming wedding season. I have created these looks in collaboration with a Bandra based designer named 'Yogita Kadam'.This series is divided into three parts for detailed information, so let's see what we have for today.

Photography: Pranit Shinde
Makeup and Hair: Neha Gaikwad
Location: Label Yogita Kadam store

Yogita Kadam specializes in wild flowy drapes, trendy cuts and asymmetrical silhouettes. Her designs cater to all the occasions be it a pre-wedding party, festivals or a family function. These pieces are real reflection of her 'minimalistic' style with a great influence of art of Zardozi on them. Aiming to style the trend oriented ladies, she has created a wide range of Indian Fusion wear.

I chose this navy blue outfit from her recent collection 'Trivaah'. This beautiful ensemble is apt for all the pre-wedding functions like- Mehendi, Roka or Sangeet etc or it can also be worn to the Diwali parties that we conduct with our friends and family. The best part about this dress is the flowy fabric that falls perfectly on my body and also how it compliments by skin and body type. To style this look I have just paired it with my statement earrings and heels.

Get Brunch Ready!

Get Brunch Ready!

Hey Guys! Welcome back to my blog. Having a girl gang brunch meet? Or all your work collegues want to catch up? We all have been in this situation where an impromptu outing pops up and we are clueless about what to wear! Not to worry, here is a small #OUTFITINSPO for all.

Photography by: Pranit Shinde
Makeup and Hair: Neha Gaikwad

OUTFIT DETAILS:

Dress: Lifestyle Stores
Bag: H&M
Heels: H&M
Glares: Colaba Causeway

So, I grabbed a shirt dress that was lying in my wardrobe since ages because honestly I thought that the silhouette was too outdated. I thought to give it a try once again and keep it very basic. I styled it with my my formal sling bag, my trusted pair of heels and my vintage sunglasses with a messy hair-do. As vintage fashion is coming back, keeping it simple I realized that every outdated style can be revived and styled differently as per our convenience. Here are a few pictures for your reference.

Coming to the end, Hope this post was helpful and would like to re-create it. Do let me know if you would like to see something specific :)

A Casual Sunday Breakfast

A Casual Sunday Breakfast at CAFE 70 BEANS!

Hello All! Feels so good to get back and write my blogs! After a whole year of a break I am even more excited to share my new style ideas with my readers. Without doing any further due, let's dive into the blog...

This blog is in collaboration with CAFE 70 BEANS located in the heart of  Navi Mumbai, at the Palm Beach Galleria Mall in Vashi. I had an amazing opportunity to try their best selling all day breakfast menu at this cozy vintage themed cafe.

On the Plate:
Stuffed Cheese Omelette with Toast (Glazed Mushrooms) with an add on of Chicken Sausages

In frame:
Cafe ala 70 Beans

Being a big time coffee lover nothing else pleases me more than something that has been prepared with complete love and affection. 70 Beans has the best service and has a warming approach towards their customers. Also, when it comes to the ambience it's all with good vibes and good music. Talking about the food, they have a wide variety of dishes for your weekend breakfast plans or even a midweek brunch with your girl gang.

It is also awarded as the ICONIC CAFE OF THE YEAR 2018-19 MUMBAI.

Coming to the look that I created for this casual breakfast plan, I wanted to keep it simple yet stylish. The easy elegance of workday shirts in breezy fabrics are the best! Pair these styles with basic denims or pants with minimal accessories and you are good to go. So, I basically paired my trusted pair of blue bell bottom jeans with a bright red and white stripe shirt that is apt for one of those lazy sundays. To complete the look I topped it off with a pair of sunglasses, a watch, a tan bag and block heels.

OUTFIT DETAILS:

Top: Westside
Bell Bottom Jeans: Coverstory
Footwear: H&M
Watch: Fossil
Sunglasses: Lulu and Sky

Makeup and Hair: Neha Gaikwad
