#SUMMERVIBES

Hello! Lovely Ladies! I am back with another post for you guys and this time it's the summer brunch look. Who doesn't want to hangout with their friends and chill around? And what if your squad is planning up for a brunch party, you obviously have to look the best! For summer we can go for some pretty whites or sky blue shades to keep ourselves as cool as possible. Collaborating with Radhika Jagtap again, she will be showcasing another way of midi dress styling for all the sporty chicks out there! Read till the end to know more about her outfit details!As we all know darker shades tend to absorb heat and lighter colours reflect back. Keeping this phenomena in mind I have created this easy to go look, So without any futher dues let's get started.

For this look I went with my floral white midi-dress with a light blue sleevless denim jacket. Keeping the focus on my summer phenomena I paired both of them together. I added up my statement earrings and star hand cuff with this look. I went for my pink heels and metallic grey handbag that compliment my whole attire. This is a very classy yet easy to carry in the scotching summer heat!

'Gudhi Padva Special'

Hey Girls! Firstly, Happy Gudhi Padva to all! Like, many of you don't exactly know what Gudhi Padva is all about let me brief you about this festival.
 Gudhi Padva is derived from the Sanskrit name for Chaitra Shukla Pratipad. It is celebrated on the first day of the Chaitra month to mark the beginning of the New year according to the lunisolar Hindu calendar. The word Padva comes from the Sanskrit word pratipada in Sanskrit, which refers to the first day of a lunar fortnight. Therefore, The celebartions are all about the new year for the Hindus. 

On Gudhi Padva, a gudhi is found sticking out of a window or otherwise prominently displayed in traditional Maharashtrian households. Bright green or yellow cloth adorned with brocade (zari) tied to the tip of a long bamboo over which gaathi (sugar crystals), neem leaves and a twig of mango leaves and a garland of red flowers is tied. A silver or copper pot is placed in the inverted position over it. Altogether, it is called as Gudhi. It is hoisted outside the house, in a window, terrace or a high place so that everybody can see it.The Gudhi is positioned on the right side of the main entrance of the house. The right side symbolizes active state of the soul. Sounds more like a history class, isn't it?

I have tried to create a very easy to go look for the day which can be styled both like a set saree as well as a normal Indian suit attire. Yesterday I was all confused over what to wear for this Gudi Padva! So I thought to give my pairing up skills a shot and create a look from my basics. I used my basic black palazzo pants, black top, blue buddha jacket and my contrast dupatta! For my accessories I wanted to go for a minimal look so I went with a marathi nose ring ( nath) with some bangles and kada in my hand. I wore my black top and palazzo just how a jumpsuit will look like, then put my buddha print jacket over and drapped the duppatta like a saree pallu. I kept my make-up simple with just my basic winged linear and wine shade lipcolour, also not to forget the moon shaped tikka which is known as Chandra Kor in marathi. 

Also girls who don't want to wear the saree type attire and go for a normal Indian attire all you need to do is just convert your saree pallu back to normal and make some changes in the accessories. Like Instead of the bangles and the nose ring I opted for a handcuff and small jhumkas. And a small tip, choose the duppatta wisely, because it is the game chnager in both the outfits. The Modern Indian Behenji

Hola People! I am back with something very cliche but with a message for all the college going girls who are insecure about their way of styling up or dressing in college! So, this post is for all the girls who want to wear kurtis their way and feel confident about themselves! Who says Ethnic is boring? Why do people think that wearing ethnic is not in trend or can't be worn to college or in other words 'Behenji Types'

I have come across this for like hundreds of times and experienced it too. People think that you don't have enough money to buy branded clothes, you are that typical nerdy girl who isn't cool enough to hangout with or have no sense of fashion! These allegations are totally false! It's perfectly alright to wear a kurti to college with adding some ethnic pieces to your look and having that feminine touch to it which is very delicate and beautiful to look at.

So, for giving you guys some basic styling idea of a normal printed kurti and a split kurti I have collaborated with Radhika Jagtap one of my fellow blogger mate for a couple of posts. I will be styling a navy blue printed kurti and she will be doing the same for a centre split kurti. Then, Without any futher due let's get started...

While I was buying my kurti I came with this idea of joining both the ends of kurti to one another which will make it look more cooler and gives it a different way of styling. As the outfit is more modernized with a touch of Indian traditions I wore my super trusted pair of light blue jeans that would complete my outfit set perfectly and also feel comfortable while carrying this attire. With this I opted for my kolhapuri wedges which will compliment my look.  I went for that contasting golden footwear because I wanted it to also stand out and make space for the observer. Then for my accessories I went with my oxidized silver earrings and neckpiece along my white stone studded watch.

For my makeup I went with a loud maroon lipshade with a basic dewy look with the highlighter popping all over my cheek bones and with some contouring underneath to give my face an edgy look I went for that basic black winged liner to add up to the drama to my face. And not forgetting the Bindi on my forehead which adds up to this look and compliments it even more. How Indianish isn't?I just love it. I kept my hair more on the messy, frizzy side like I always do because opening up your hair makes you look even more gorgeous.

The Power of Makeup!

Hello Girls! I am back with yet another post for you guys! This post is something more on the make-up related section yet defines the simplest of look you can carry for this season. This look is for highly summerish weather where all you need is to be comfortable in your clothing. So, before I start up with my post I would love to give you guys a small heads up to the main person behind this simple yet sassy look!

Yes Girls, The magician behind my all so lovely look is Sakshi Tejpaul! I can say that I was very fortunate to work with this MAC PRO-MAKEUP ARTIST <3
She flew down all the way from Doha for her work related tour and did this collaboration which was something I never imagined!
She is one of the finest make up artists from MAC Doha and has a life changing attitude towards her passionate career. Talking to her about the 'POWER OF MAKE-UP' was one hell of an experience. She has motivated me to such an extent that now I no more feel insecure about myself be it my body, skin, height or anything that will ever bring me down! She has this beautiful way of doing the make-up and doesn't make it look that complicated as it looks. She also explained each and every step while doing the make-up also giving me reasons to why the product was used there at that moment. I am in love with her :p as well as her techniques! Here is a picture of this gorgeous lady in one for her off-beat make-up shoot! BOLD and BEAUTIFUL isn't it? <3

According to me: Make-up is the layer of confidence. If something can make you confident and happy there is nothing wrong in doing it. It's an ART, art of colours! A field of expirements. An art of gaining self appreciation, makes you feel beautiful not only from the outside but also the inside! Use it as a gift and not a tool to hide your inner self. Enhance yourself and be you, with a tiny pinch of makeup! Because a little make-up never hurts ;)

Because we believe in less is more, we came up with extremely achievable look to give you a fresh dewy glowing makeup.
As a primer we used Aloevera gel which will not only hydrate your skin but will also keep it in place for hours.
We used Mac studio finish concealer which was used to cover all the minor darkness on the face followed by a concealer above it.
BB cream was used concentrated on the centre of the face and was blended out downwards in the direction of the facial hair.
Then the Concealer was also used above the eye lid as a base for the eyeshadow too.
A matte dark brown eye shadow was used to contour the eye  and to create warmth a velvet finish shadow was used on the rest of the eye lid with the face highlighter in the inner corner of the eye to make it pop and look bright.
The same matte brown eyeshadow can be used to contour the cheek bones, nose and jaw line with a neutral colour blush on the apples of the cheek.
If u have a neutral shimmering eyeshadow you can also use it on the high points of your face like cheek bones, bridge of the nose, Cupid bow and the brow bone as a highlighter to get that gorgeous glow. 
We used it over our highlighter to get that highlight that shines brighter than the sun.
On the lips we used a nude shade called Velvet teddy and to give it defination and lined it with spice lip liner.
We used demi wispies from Ardel for lashes with Duo glue which is by far the best lash glue ever I have come across.

About the outfit, I went for a very subtle boho look as to compliment my make-up. I used a mens tee-shirt and paired it up with my trusted pair of long black palazzos. I tied a knot to the tee to make it look more boho and feminine. Along with the outfit I took my nude sling and did some layering on with my choker. Keeping the accessories minimal and letting the hand cuff be the statement piece I went with freezy beach curls and black heels.
