Diwali Look Book!

The Dhanteras Look!

Hello Girls!! So how are your Diwali preparations going on so far or rather I should ask have you decided your outfits? :p I guess many of you guys haven't done that yet so let me help you with this. Diwali is one of the most awaited festival of the year. It is celebrated in five consecutive days which consists of Dhanteras which is two days before Diwali, Bhai dooj which is two days after Diwali and the main day of Diwali that is the Lakshmi Pujan. So, I will be showing you guys some looks that I found comfortable yet beautiful for the festival of lights. Let's get started!

So, This the look I thought was relevant for the occasion of Dhanteras which is celebrated two days before the main day. I have gone for a Maharashtrian look with a plain marsala colour  a-lined kurta and a worked duppatta. You always don't have to have a full designed traditional suit but can buy different pieces and pair them up together. As you can see I have used old school marathi ornaments which consists of: Nosering which is called the 'Nath' (Every marathi girl can relate to the beauty of this nosering), then the three layered necklace which is called as the 'Mohan Maal' (gives the royal look) , then the smaller necklace is called the 'Kolhapuri Saaz' which is a necklace that is worn right on your neck like a choker ( but I have extended it to match the level of the three layered necklace) and the last one is a simple earring which I have worn to complete my look and yes ofcourse ditching my bangles.

I have gone for a heavy makeup with a winged liner and added a little blue to the corners. Made a half moon bindi which is the traditional Marathi teeka. And worn the matte me pink lipstick to balance the whole look. Kept my hair simple because who will want look over dressed!

Details:
Kurta: Shoppers Stop (Biba)
Duppatta: Mom's Wardrobe :p
Ornaments: My family treasure xD
Earrings: Globus

So this how the complete Dhanteras outfit looks like <3 Hope you enjoyed reading this post. See you until next time! Much love, xoxo.

The Jacket Story!

The Jacket Story!

Hello Girls! I know I am super late with this post but here it is finally. A basic leather jacket is a must have in every girls wardrobe. Don't we all love the sporty chic look we get when we style a jacket perfectly and feel super sexy? Here is a simple look I tried with my yellow leather jacket and pink chrome shoes.

Make-up by: Reena Nikharge

I styled my jacket with a plain white top tucked in my trusted pair of black denims and pink chrome shoes that compliments my whole look. Adding it up with my black and golden watch with a cool pair of shades makes it more organised and sporty.
I have kept my hair tied up in our old school pony tail with a creamy make-up and red lips. This is the perfect look for a concert, clubbing, short flight or a formal meet-up. The leather jacket is the style changer in any look, pair it up correctly and you are ready to rock.

Details:

Jacket: Zara
Top: OMG
Shoes: Fleashoppers
Watch: D'signer
Shades: Colaba

Hope you guys find this post helpful! See you guys next time! :D
Lots of love to all <3

Blue has been my favorite since I don't know when but I am so dedicated towards this colour. The colour itself speaks so much! It's a Calm, soothing, royal and dependable colour or we can say our always go to colour.
I have styled this high-low gown with a set of Silver earrings and necklace and my silver heels. I received this set of earrings and necklace from an Instagram page @trust_art_jewels . These guys have some really amazing jewelery out there, Girls you must check it out. :D
Reena went with a subtle kind of makeup for this look with deep red lips and thick winged eyes, this makeup compliments my outfit so much and makes it even more beautiful! I have kept my hair straight at the back and a bit curvy in the front with a center partition, However I feel center partition does not suit me, What do you guys think? yay or nay? :p

So, I got this combo pack gifted from Just baked containing 2 cake jars, a cupcake and 4 cookies. The best part of this is, it is all home made, at reasonable prices and is made with all love and care. Who makes all this delicious stuff? Melissa Rego a resident of Kharghar runs this online bakery all alone, she takes the orders online through Instagram and Facebook, bakes it all by herself with pure affection and delivers it to you on the occasion you choose, be it a birthday, an anniversary, a farewell or any other occasion you want! Now, let's see what I have in my package.. Isn't the wrapping beautiful? Specially the bow!

#1 Nutella and Peanut butter cup

This cupcake is the most delicious thing in the whole combo. It comes in a cute wrapping and with choco chip and vanilla toppings. When you take the first bite of the cupcake the peanut butter that is filled in comes pouring out! Oh my... It was so tasty!

#2 Nutella Cheesecake Jar

Hahhah! The Nutella cheescake jar was so yummy that I ended up finishing it while shooting for the post! Who does not like Nutella? Damn, people are crazy about it! And so am I. This cheesecake jar comes in different shapes and sizes. The mason jar looks so cute, isn't it!

#3 Oreo Cheesecake Jar

Lol! Life of a blogger, Capturing anything and everything around! :P This is one of best oreo cakes I have ever had. The best part about this is the oreo on the top made my day <3

#4 Cookies!!

There are three types of cookies: Chocochip with Nutella, Chocochip with Oreo and Peanut Butter. She has got many cookie options and these three are my fav!! You must try them all because it tastes heavenly!

Working With Concepts!

Hello Girls! Firstly, Wish you all a very Happy Monsoon <3 In case you are thinking why I wished you, it's just a glimpse of my love for this super romantic season. Secondly, this post is not exactly a blog-post that I have been doing since a long time but is a 'Conceptional Post'.

What is a Conceptional Picture? It is a picture that expresses a lot and just not the words. It is based on a concept which gives out a beautiful meaning to the viewers. It is an immense effort of the model, photographer, stylist and the make-up artist all together in one picture. So our concept for this series was:

"FASHION IS NOT JUST TO IMPRESS BUT TO EXPRESS!"
                                                                                                       - A work done by Viraj and Kinjal.

Photography: Viraj Ramteke
Styling: Kinjal Jain
Make-up: Simran Kota

Viraj and Kinjal are friends yet partners in work and have an amazing talent which they show case from their work. The way they work is full fun and yet they are dedicated with their jobs. I personally call them 'Jugadu' because my experience while working with them was crazy! And yes, I guess you all should go through their Instagram pages which I will be putting up at the end of this blog-post. :') Hope you guys love their work 'cause I did and yes, A biiiiggggg thumbs up to them!

Coming to the beautiful make-up I have put on for my entire shoot was done by Simran who is an engineering student yet has a passion for this fabulous art! Even though this was the first time she tried out make-up on someone else it looked flawless and she did a super awesome job. She did this smokey eye look which was perfect for both my looks and did justice to the pictures!

Thanks You, Viraj, Kinjal and Simran <3
